History of the church: The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) was founded in 1952 by Rev. Josiah Akindayomi in Nigeria. Initially known as Egbe Ogo-Oluwa (Glory of God), the church evolved into RCCG. Rev. Akindayomi was led by a divine revelation and a desire to encounter God personally. He later chose Pastor Enoch Adeboye as the next General Overseer in 1981. Pastor Adeboye became the General Overseer (G.O) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in 1981.

Pastor Enoch Adeboye is the General Overseer, RCCG WORLDWIDE. Fondly, known as Daddy G.O. Daddy G.O is ably supported by his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye. Fondly called Mummy G.O.

The church has established churches in various regions, including the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The head of the church in North America is Pastor James Fadel, the Continental Overseer and Special Assistant to the general Overseer with head office located in Texas.

The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Victory Chapel, Greenville, NC., started as a house fellowship in 2024, and became incorporated as a non-profit entity in 2025.

Pastor Michael Olusegun Olaopa is a man that love God, have passion for souls and individual spiritual development. Also, supporting the brethren in fulfilling God’s purpose and dwelling in love. He is married to his ever supporting wife, Janet Olaopa, a co-pastor in the church. They are blessed with wonderful children.
